The response of Z-Axis is not quite as fast a rod as Sage One, neither is it as light. For saltwater, it's better to get a faster rod. I think 11' + switch rod is a good length for saltwater. It is lighter and not so cumbersome to land fish. I don't think you need anything longer than 12' unless you are planing to fish the surf overhead casting from the beach.
